Richard W. Beyer is a Managing Director who joined GoldBook Financial in 2019. In 2004, Rick embarked on a career in financial services with Northwestern Mutual. During his 15-year tenure, he and his firm have been consistently recognized as the leading Risk and Wealth Management organization within the Southwest. Rick’s passion for helping businesses and institutions attract, retain and provide meaningful compensation and benefits also places his firm in the Phoenix Business Journal’s Top 15 Employee Benefits Consultants.
Rick is a 13-year Life member and has qualified for the Top of the Table the last 3 years, part of the Million Dollar Round Table organization, and is a 15-year National Quality Award winner through the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers. He’s won the prestigious Master Achievement Award multiple times and led several insurance companies in total policies placed and new clients earned. Rick’s has served on several national Advisory and Board of Directors and has helped design disability insurance solutions used throughout the industry.
Rick earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Arizona State University, where he has served on the W.P. Carey School of Business Marketing and Economics Board of Directors since 2006. As a career changer, he found initial success with an Emergency Vehicles Manufacturer. Rick led that company to become the first internationally registered company in the industry. From there, he went on to become the youngest Executive Director with DaimlerChrysler Commercial Vehicles. During his tenure, he oversaw the acquisition, consolidation, quality assurance and corporate merger of American LaFrance, the oldest company still in existence in the fire apparatus business.
Rick and his wife of 13 years, Nicole, live with their five children in Scottsdale. The couple is passionate about their faith, specifically through the countless Catholic Charities they support, including Catholic Schools, Saint Vincent de Paul, and many other local children’s hospitals. A coach at heart, Rick loves guiding and herding his own kids and countless other youths that play soccer, baseball and basketball.
